Griffin grabbed my hand and groaned, bowing his head. “You’d be so perfect.”
For a nanosecond, his entreaty worked. He looked at me with those coppery eyes and told me I was perfect, and I was nearly ready to do anything he wanted. Anything.
I didn’t even pull my hand away. I let him grip it with his strong, manicured fingers. I let the tiny shivers crawl up my arm and send shocks throughout my entire body. I let his admiration hold me for a minute.
A breathy laugh flew from my chest. “I know, but the answer is still no.”
